"I tried using the full-moon HDRI, but found that it was too 'bright' giving rather overwhelming reflections off areas of glass. Here's one I did of something a little larger, using an HDRI I just found using google.... I have a fair…"

"For night shots, I like to use a night HDRI.  I think there is a good one here: http://www.food4rhino.com/content/full-moon The image will get sharper as you let the passes progress. I did not get to play with attenuation in the water.…"

"Here's a quick render (100 passes!) done mostly using Scott's most recent settings... looks pretty good all in all :-)  though the path tracer set up seems to result in a slightly fuzzier final product  "

"Here is the file.  You can see I edited the Ocean Water a little. Also, this image uses the Mt Monadnock HDRI for lightiing.  You can download that here: http://www.food4rhino.com/content/mt-monadnock"

"Thanks Scott. You were definitely right about it taking some time... I assume the render process with it set at Path Tracer is slower and requires a lot more passes before anything sensible appears Would you mind posting the model for this latest…"

"Here is using the ocean water material and some scatter.  The to different distributions are changed by the beam angle of the spotlight. There is a little post process glare added."

"Here is another example: This one has smaller spotlight angles, less attenuation and less scatter.  I also used the Glare post process filter to get the flare."
