Flamingo nXt

easy rendering for Rhino in Windows

We just dowloaded the last nXt version (3.023561.0,9-Jun-2011).

Rhino 4.0 SR9 - Flamingo 2.0 20/06/2011

We rendered a previous marine project and now the result is absolutely incorrect.

We then checked the settings of the material "water Ocean" and found them modified (the texture was lost, etc).

Having another PC not updated with the latest release and working properly on that model, we copied the settings for the material and generally we matched all the other settings for the environment and lights.

Unfortunateley we didn't be able to reproduce the image on all the new installations.

In detail it appears that, editing the material, the color (originally deep blue 19.21.28) is not taken into account in the preview, showing a grey all the time, also selecting other colors...

The grey is also what results in the rendering with big "tiles".

Here is attached  the two renderings...

Thanks for helping us...what has been changed?

Hi Stefano, Its working fine here.

maybe your material got corrupted. Try the attached one. replace the old one with this one.

copy it to this folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\McNeel\Flamingo nXt\Language Packs\en-US\Materials\Marine

The texture image is located here. Chek if you have that image in your system.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\McNeel\Flamingo nXt\Resources\Bitmaps\clouds2.png

I replaced the material.

Its size was totally different: about 380 vs 10 (the new one)

Now it works correctly...

Still I don't understand how happened...we didn't modify the material...especially this one that works very well.

Thanks

Stefano
