easy rendering for Rhino in Windows
Hi!
I'm glad I found this forum, I hope you guys can help.
I'm a cad/cam student at Tyler School of Art taking Cad/Cam I. I'm new to both Rhino and Flamingo. My issue is that I purchased the Rhino/Flamingo nXt/Bongo, etc bundle. Our instructions are only for the older version of Flamingo and I'm on my own to figure out how to render what I need for the assignment in the newer version.
My instructions (for the older version) give numbers I need to enter for Shadow Intensity, Spotlight Hardness and Light Intensity. I can not find any of these adjustments in the nXt Flamingo. In the old version they were in the Properties, but now I find Watts, Beam Angle and Radius. Do these correlate in any way or are they totally different?
I may have other questions as I go through these instructions, line by line, for the third time.
I appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

We do not the same controls in the newer version of Flamingo. Because NXT works differently from the previous version, I recommend using the instructions as outlined in the webinar videos on this site. I think you will find the results are earlier to reach in this new version.

Thanks! I did watch the videos yesterday, I understand a little better how this works now. I'm still having difficulty trying to duplicate the end result I need, but I get a little closer the more I play with it.
I'm trying to get a gradient background and a reflective surface under a very reflective ring.
