Flamingo nXt

easy rendering for Rhino in Windows

I've jumped ship from Vray and going back to my trustworthy, reliable McNeel product(s).  Glad to be back.  :)

As I warm up to NXT, I'm having trouble with two things:

1. I apply an image map to a surface (no mapping widget).  The image renders offset (not on center).  Applying a mapping widget has no effect.  I can adjust the position of the image on the surface by going to texture/advanced/orientation and "shift" the image over to one side to get it to align on the surface properly.  However, I have to do this blind as I cannot see image placement until I render.  Is there a better way to do this?

2. Texture visible in render space.  How can I see the applied texture map when my viewport is set to render or render w/ shadows?

Thanks!

In the current release you need to use the Flamingo Mapping panel, not the Rhino texture mapping.  The correct panel button looks like a Flamingo in Rhino 5.  In Rhino 4 you would Select the Flamingo panel in properties.

Once we break for a Rhino 5 specific version you will support the Rhino mapping.

Thank you!

Hmm, the 64bit version is for Rhino5 only...
