easy rendering for Rhino in Windows
Hi Flamingo Team,
I’m new using Flamingo NXT and I make 2 mistakes.
1.When I preview-render the scene, the .jpg texture set in rhino show out very brightness in the firsts passes, but the ones with basic colors still looking as the window screen. What is happened? Why is so different?
Should I transfer the .jpg texture from Rhino to Flamingo, or maybe just change some settings?
2. Also, when I preview-render the scene, my model, with many many trees, seems to turn off some of the trees layers. I could see it all open in the window screen but when I preview-render the scene, some of them had disappeared. What should I do?
Gratefully thanks,
PS: I notice that I only have the evaluation version. But it seems to be a very good produce that I will buy soon to print big image of my models.
G.

The Flamingo NXT is made to work in Rhino 4 also, which has a very different review mode. So I would not worry about it at this time. Once Rhino 5 settles down, we will be coming out with a Flamingo version that works better with Rhino 5. I have a version in our office we are working on that does much better.
I am confused about the trees. Do the trees render?
Permalink Reply by Guillaume Chouinard Decarie on September 25, 2012 at 10:28am I missed to specified that I work with Rhino 4, evaluation. I have many open layers with trees (imported trees) but only one layer of trees is visible in the render.
Thanks,
Permalink Reply by Scott Davidson on September 25, 2012 at 11:03am Rhino 4 does not have the render preview mode that shows all the materials. At this time render preview does not work.
Trees cannot be wrapped in blocks. We may not see them. You can explode the blocks of trees into induvidual trees. Are the trees from the older version of Flamingo 2 or Flamingo NXT?
