easy rendering for Rhino in Windows

Permalink Reply by Scott Davidson on February 4, 2011 at 11:06am Unlimately this is a Sub-surface Scattering effect. Flamingo NXT does not have SSS yet. THe more advanced renderers such as Brazil and Maxwell do. It is an effect that is very sensitive to scale and lighting.
The closest you can get in Flamingo NXT is the Translucency slider. You can see there is a discussion on the AccuRender forum about the effect.
I need to check that we have it implimented correctly in Flamingo. I will research that this afternoon. I will use your model to see what I can come up with.

Try 3 has a white texture map added which I will also attach. Please find 2 3dm files attached with different settings for frosted glas and the liquid I used.

The renders should clean up nicely doing a few more passes
