easy rendering for Rhino in Windows
Hi everybody
I'd like to know if if possible to see somewhere the developed surface where it's applied the texture.
I'm trying to make some very light object for the rendering,
Instead having several object with different texture, I'd like to have the rendered surface to apply the correct jpeg that I could prepare with photoshop.
I don't know if I'm clear enough on my demand, but that would be nice if someone could take some time to help me
Thank you in advance.

Select the object.
In object properties, got to Flamingo NXT button and set mapping to "Surface".
In the Object properties, set the Material to Object and set the Texture Color to you bitmap.
Then you can go To Rhino 5's mapping tools and use unwrapped and U/V Editing to see the flattened texture and object:

But I should not be good enough in Rhino5 and/or in texturing to fully understand what you've wrote.
I didn't manage to get the unwraped bitmap from my object. (see uploaded file)
could you explain me how to get it?
or where can I found the info to understand how to get it.
thank you in advance.

The steps I take are first Unwrap (The package with a ribbon). Then use the UVEditor and draw a rectangle to hold the texture unwrapped.
The page above is the help file, does it help?

At the end it's way too complicated for what I want to do
The unwrapped surface is too complicated for me.
once again thank you for your work
