easy rendering for Rhino in Windows


Was working on a render where there is a glass in the foreground. I wanted to have the background out of focus. After saving the .nXtImage file and bringing it into the nXtImage editor, I adjusted the FX (depth blur) for a background that was out of focus. Bye the way, this works very nice for most situations.

The problem is that the image that is seen through the glass is in focus even though the image through the glass is really a background that is out of focus. See attached.

I'm even thinking that this is correct, although I don't think so.

I know it has to do with the distance mask.

Any thoughts?

This isnt a correct render, but, its a limitation related to how DOF is calculated. Is doesnt consider reflection and refraction bounces as distanced added.
